My Lovely Lancers Jumping Saddle-FOR SALE!!!!

I'm selling a used saddle:

I rode in this saddle from when I was 9 to when I was 11 and it has been sitting in my bed room for the LONGEST time. It fits SO many horses and it cleans very well. It has been reviewed by a professional @ BHS (Blue Horse Saddlery) and here are the reviews and info (from the pros):
Seat size: 16.5"
Tree size: Medium
Cantle: Nicks
Seat: Discolored (this is from someone rather stupid who owned it before me using a bad saddle soap but I PROMISE it does NOT show when you are riding)
Tree: VERY sound (the tree is in perfect condition)
Underside/Billets: Worn (Yes they are worn but still have a LOAD of wear left in them)
This is a genuine Lancers saddle from a company that doesnt make saddles anymore and it was made to be a jumping saddle.
ASKING PRICE: $100 (OBO)
If you want the saddle you can go to the store in Palo Alto and see it for yourself, it is saddle # 407 and is in consignment. If it doesn't sell, you can purchase it personally from me. Email me @ samara.swim@gmail.com if you are interested and want more info. You can also call Blue Horse on this number: 650-948-1719 and they will be happy to answer questions and give you a 3 day tryout.

Dressage Saddle Decisions and a Trip to the Tackstore-I need your opinion

Ok, so it's out:
I'M GETTING A DRESSAGE SADDLE....(along with a membership to the horsepark, but thats another story)
Back to the dressage saddle:
So yes i'm getting one.
I went to Blue Horse Saddlery (great tack store) to go buy some schooling and show breeches. I bought the schooling breeches (another 40$ out the window >.<). They were Tuff Rider brand by the way, they are SO comfy and they are REALLY affordable, I totally recommend them.
Heres the little thing to live by when you take me to a tack store:
You go in expecting to only buy the thing you needed...and you go out with a MUCH lighter wallet than expected....
I ordered a pair of Ariat show breeches but they were on backorder so I need to wait...ah well
I looked @ the dressage saddles and sat on one that fit me LIKE CUSTOM. The saleslady told me I DESPERATELY needed to buy it because it fit me SO nicely. I took a look @ the pricetag and did a total double-take. $900! For a USED SADDLE!!!! I can only IMAGINE what it cost when it was new. I'm not even sure what the maker was but it looked a LOT like this saddle. What a beautiful saddle! Well, the lady told me she would keep a lookout for a saddle for around $300.
I turned in my Lancers jumping saddle that I had been keeping in my bedroom for over 4 years. It was the first saddle I really owned and I was pretty attached to it. *childish grin* It's in the used saddle section @ Blue Horse and I will make a post on it if you are interested.
BACK TO THE SADDLES:
After losing my bid on eBay's Wintec 500 w/Cair, I knew I should do some more research so I narrowed the options down to these two saddles:
Saddle 1: I've sat in this saddle and liked it. I have the Wintec 500 All-purpose as my saddle right now and I adore it. I don't know if I like how flat the seat is though. It's DEFINATELY an option though. It costs around $415.
Saddle 2: It's lovely leather and looks great. I just worry about the quality for a $386 saddle but it's Kincade, a relatively good brand so I'm assuming its ok. Also, it got good reviews so I'm considering it. A drawback to this saddle is it's a medium tree and can't change like the Wintec.

So what do you think? Post a reply and check out my post on my Lancers saddle for sale @ the Blue Horse Saddlery in Palo Alto! :)

Riding K.C.-4.12.09

Today, K.C. went marvelously. We rode in the covered arena and he was a dream. This lady came in after our warmup and started lunging her spazz warmblood which annoyed me to NO END. The crazy horse started bucking and galloping everytime K.C. went by and that caused K.C. to get distressed and tense. People need to learn that you probably shouldn't bring your stupidly psychotic horse into the arena where other people are riding their horses. Were still having problems with staying on the bit going to the left. K.C. just turns and trys to avoid the contact or throws up his head. I just need to work on that a little more.

Pulling back!!!! WTF?!?!?!

Ok so here's the issue plain and simple:
My horse keeps pulling back! It doesn't matter whether he's tied to twine. He already broke my halter and my bridle! he broke the halter by getting his head stuck under the rope @ a show and then flipping out and breaking the snap and he broke the bridle while waiting to go for a ride and spooking at NOTHING. I dont want to buy a safety halter as those tend to break easily. Twine doesn't work, he still manages to break the halter or bridle! i'm about to purchase a pretty expensive bridle and halter and i dont want him to break it...HELP!

K.C. and I went X country for the 1st time!

The ditch is really fun...not the most exciting but still

Meet the official AQUAHORSE mascot! Cannonball to the MAX!

Large log...oh-so-much fun!

K.C. and I won 4th at Spring Flowers Combined Test!!!!! We then went and schooled x country. K.C. adored the course and it was SO much fun. he loved the water, i guess i really do have an AQUAHORSE! ttfn!

Yosemite (UPDATES)

I was away in Yosemite. IT WAS AWESOME! The landscape was BREATHTAKING and the people who went were amazing as well. My tent pranked the others, thanks to BINGO. I took loads of pictures and loved the waterfalls best of all. Going to Yosemite made me think more about global warming and also about how we need to protect these delicate places so that generations in the future can be there too. I missed my family and my horse (yes, he's basically family too). I am going to a show this weekend and I will write a blog on that later.

The K.C. Intro Blog post

A couple weeks ago, I took my amazingly talented horse, K.C. to a horse show. It was his first show and he did amazing. We achieved Champion in reserve because this really amazing warmblood called Sir Gallahad won like every class. Here is some basic information on K.C.
Name: K.C. (showname is Katch Me If You Can)
Age: 7
Breed: QH but i SWEAR there is some TB in there because he is so refined through his head and legs and he has a TOTALLY different build from most QHs I know.
Color: Dark Bay
Markings: White Star
Disciplines: K.C. came to the ranch basicallly untrained but he was so brave and amazing that my amazing trainer Summer decided to keep him. K.C. is now training to event and he excels in jumping. His jump is a little green sometimes and he doesn't always know where to put his feet but he is so brave about it. We have jumped around 2'9" at the most. His dressage is pretty nice and he works well on the contact. My trained says he should compete well in dressage tests. I plan on taking him x country next weekend.
Health Problems: K.C. is a relatively healthy horse with GREAT confirmation but he does have one fault. His right hind hock is still in its fusing process. This sounds worse than it is. It only means that sometimes he is a little stiff and needs more warming up.
Disposition: K.C. is the most sweet horse but he is definately a ONE PERSON HORSE. He really bonded with me since I am the first person he really got to know when he came to the ranch. He is very brave over new fences and sometimes a little spooky around things he doesn't know about.
Faults and Pet peeves: K.C. LOVES to be naughty when bridling. He backs up and spins away from you and then the second time you try, he puts it right in his mouth no problem. Silly pony!

Well, thats basically all about K.C. who just happens to be the love of my life!!!!!
